What’s New in iOS 12.2 Beta 6 [VIDEO]

Apple released iOS 12.2 beta 6 this morning for developers and Public beta testers. With Apple’s March 25 special event set for next week, we’re most likely closing in on the final release of iOS 12.2 soon.

If you’re looking to find out what’s new in iOS 12.2 beta 6, YouTuber Brandon Butch has highlighted some changes.

The sixth beta now includes more information in Settings under the About page, as there’s a new screen for ‘AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss’, to go with a previous ‘Limited Warranty’ screen that debuted in beta 5—if you have AppleCare.

Also in the About page, iPhone Xr and iPhone Xs now show a lower case for the ‘r’ and ’s’, to go in line with Apple’s marketing preferences for these latest devices.

When you launch Screen Time, there’s now a small spinning wheel in the top right while you wait for results to load. Also, when holding down the buttons to power down your iPhone, a slightly revamped animation is available.

iOS 12.2 beta also remembers your last used card in Wallet, which I do not like, as it requires an extra tap to exit and go back to your cards list.

Some Canadians are seeing Apple Pay Cash setup within Wallet in iOS 12.2 beta, but there’s no indication the feature will launch in Canada.
