Live Photos may be a great way to make moments more vivid by capturing motion and sound, but it is limited to iPhone 6s or iPhone SE owners. WhatsApp has been busy making this available to all its users, according to the Netherlands-based iCulture blog.

Support for Live Photos appeared to WhatsApp beta testers with an iPhone 6s or SE, making sharing easier. With support for Live Photos, WhatsApp users can share the moment in an instant.
For those owning an iPhone 6 or older, WhatsApp has been testing a feature that will turn Live Photos into a GIF. You may recall that Live Photos currently appear as static images on earlier iPhones, flattening the live part of the image.
There are also other improvements WhatsApp is currently testing, such as better video recording and the introduction of zoom. WhatsApp also plans to add a new larger emoji alongside an Olympics emoji.
It is still unclear when WhatsApp plans to release these new features, but they certainly sound interesting.
