2012 iMacs With Anti-Glare Display & Intel Ivy Bridge Processors Coming In June [DigiTimes]

In a recent publication, DigiTimes has claimed that Apple is going to release updated iMacs in June 2012. Previously planned for a launch by the end of first quarter, 2012 iMacs release date has been pushed a couple of months ahead due to Intel’s Ivy Bridge quad-core desktop processors which are scheduled to be launched by the end of April.

According to the source:

PC ODM Quanta Computer and chassis supplier Foxconn Technology are expected to benefit from the launch of Apple’s latest iMac desktops, which are set to launch in June with Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge processors, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report citing sources from the upstream supply chain.

The new iMac is rumored to feature an anti-glare display with Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge-based i5 and i7 processors, noted the paper adding that Apple is also set to launch MacBook Pro notebooks featuring Ivy Bridge processors at the end of the second quarter.

While the source has a mixed track record when it comes to Apple rumors, 2012 iMacs releasing in June is something we have heard from a bunch of other sources as well.
