Photojojo Fisheye, Telephoto, Wide Angle/Macro Photo Lens [Review]

If you’re into iPhone photography and want to have some fun, the following smartphone lens add-ons from Photojojo might be for you. Previously, a similar set was on sale via our Deals Store; let’s take a look at what you get from Photojojo.

The samples we received included their fisheye, telephoto and wide angle/macro lenses. Made out of aluminum they are very compact and fairly light weight.

To attach them to your iPhone or iPad, you first stick on a small magnetic ring to the perimeter of your camera, then the lenses just easily snap on and off. Each lens comes with a lens cap, a few magnetic rings and a magnetic keychain holder to attach your lens to.

The magnetic rings have a very sticky adhesive and if you’re sticking them onto an invisibleSHIELD or some sort of back screen protector, do note removing the ring will take off your protector as well, as that was my experience. The lenses snap on easily to the magnetic ring and all you need to is just snap pictures. Of course, to use these lenses you will have to take off any cases that cover the back of your phone.

How did the pictures turn out? Here’s the fish eye lens, which as you can see can take some pretty neat pictures:

And here’s a normal picture followed by the telephoto lens. Notice the telephoto lens we received was a bit blurry in the corners.

For the price it brings excellent value.
