Shaw has announced there’s an ongoing outage for all services right now for some customers in Victoria, B.C.
According to an update posted to Shaw’s Service Updates and Outages website, the company details, “some customers in Millstream & surrounding areas of Victoria are experiencing an interruption to Internet, Television and Home Phone services.”
Shaw says, “we are working to restore service as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
With most people staying at home for work and school due to COVID-19, this outage may affect those needing internet, TV and home phone services.
Services affected include: Internet, Business Internet, Phone, Business Phone, Digital TV, VOD, Gateway, BlueSky TV, and WiFi Access Points.
As of 8:48AM PT, Shaw says “Technical crews are dispatched to arrive on site to investigate this matter. Thank you for your patience.” At 9:16AM PT, Shaw said BC Hydro is working to restore power in the area and services will go back online after.
