Nest Doorbell

Google's 2nd-gen Nest Doorbell has always-on power, optional 24/7 video recording, and smart features like people/package detection and Activity Zone tracking.

In colder weather, the Nest Doorbell won't charge even on a wired connection, and may also "have less than half the life that it has in warm weather."

The company has explained why continuous recording is not possible even with a wired connection.
