Final Tesla Deliveries of 2020 to Get Free 3-Month Full Self-Driving Trial

Tesla hopes to achieve a historic milestone of 500,000 cars produced and delivered in a single year, and with just days to go before the end of 2020, a new incentive has been announced, offering up free Full Self-Driving trial.

According to Tesla North, CEO Elon Musk just announced on Tuesday afternoon cars delivered in the final days of 2020 will get a free 3-month trial of Full Self-Driving.

“All Tesla cars delivered in the final three days of the year will get three months of the Full Self-Driving option for free. Delivery & docs must be fully complete by midnight Dec 31st.”

Full Self-Driving (FSD) is an Autopilot add-on that costs $10,600 CAD. It currently offers the following:

• Navigate on Autopilot: automatic driving from highway on-ramp to off-ramp including interchanges and overtaking slower cars.
• Auto Lane Change: automatic lane changes while driving on the highway.
• Autopark: both parallel and perpendicular spaces.
• Summon: your parked car will come find you anywhere in a parking lot. Really.
• Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control: assisted stops at traffic controlled intersections.

FSD currently will soon offer “autosteer on city streets,” which is currently being beta tested to a limited number of owners in the United States. FSD beta is set to land in Canada next in “early 2021”, says Musk.

In early 2021, Tesla will also launch a subscription model for FSD, which should add to the company’s services revenue.
