Tesla 2020.40.3 Software Update Brings Speed Limit Signs Detection to Canada

As reported by the folks over at Tesla North, select Tesla owners with the Full Self-Driving add-on for Autopilot in Canada have started receiving the latest software update version 2020.40.3. Citing a Model 3 owner in Ontario, Canada, however, the source adds that today’s update contains the same release notes as 2020.40.

Last week, it was speculated that Canadians will be getting the ability to track local speed sign limits with their Tesla in an upcoming update and looking at the 2020.40.3 release notes, the feature has now indeed been made available in Canada, as noted by @kkvr2823, saying “Speed limit sign on local roads working super awesome on a non rainy, non snowy day in Canada – example of it picking up 50 km/h posted speed limit – this was always wrong previously and would show as 60 km/h.”

In addition to Speed Assist Improvements, the update also brings Priority Bluetooth Device, Glovebox PIN and Charge Port Inlet Heater features to Tesla owners in Canada.

The update has also added the Vent Windows from mobile app feature for Model S owners.
