Tesla CEO Elon Musk has today confirmed in a Tweet this his company will hold a Tesla Model S Plaid delivery event at its Fremont factory in California on June 3rd, Tesla North is reporting.
Musk also noted that the vehicle will be the “fastest production car ever” with its ability to go from 0 to 60mph in under 2 seconds. Here’s what he tweeted earlier:

In Canada, the top-of-the-line Tesla Model S Plaid+ costs $199,990 CAD, with an estimated range of 390 miles (627km) and a top speed of 200mph (321km/h), thanks to its 1,020 horsepower. The vehicle has carbon-sleeved rotors and torque vectoring as upgrades over the standard Model S.
Tesla first unveiled its new Model S and Model X refresh back in late January during its earnings call, and the Model S Plaid was set to ship in February at the time.
The new refresh vehicles feature new center displays, plus a third display in the back for rear passengers.
