Tutorial: Remove The iOS Status Bar In Certain Apps [No Jailbreak Required]

Yesterday, we showed you how to use the Newsstand folder for placing unlimited number of apps inside without requiring any jailbreak. Today, we’ll tell you how you can get rid of the iOS status bar in certain apps using a simple tweak, once again without having to jailbreak your device. The tweak is called NoAppStatus, and works  in all apps with an accessible web browser (via AppAdvice).

The tweak has been successfully tested with apps containing an in-app web browser such as Twitter, Tweetbot, Netbot and more. The trick should also work for any App Store app that can access CydiaHacks.com. Here’s what you need to do:

Step 1:

Open up the in-app web browser for the app you want to remove the Status Bar, and navigate to this link to access NoAppStatus.

Step 2:

Once the tweak is finished loading, proceed by tapping the long button on the screen.

Step 3:

For a couple of seconds, your screen will go black and then return to the app. You’ll notice that the status bar at the top has been replaced by a plain black bar.

That’s it. Enjoy!
