What Apple Watch models will support watchOS 8 when it releases for the masses this fall?
Apple says if your Apple Watch supports watchOS 7, it will also be compatible with watchOS 8. Apple says not all features are on all watches. But here’s a list of watches that will support watchOS 8:
WatchOS 8 requires iPhone 6s or later with iOS 14 or later and one of the Apple Watch models above.
With watchOS 8, you’ll be able to set Portrait mode photos as watch faces, with new Photos memories now synced to your watch. You can also share photos via Messages and Mail, while more smart home controls are now available in the Home app and more.
