Fido To Release New iPhone Plan To Combat Telus/Bell

by X1Zero on November 1st, 2009

With the recently released Bell and Telus iPhone plans, we have received yet another tip that Fido will be introducing a new combo price plan to combat the new offers coming from Bell and Telus.

The offer from Fido includes daytime minutes, evening/weekend minutes and additional bonuses/promos. The plan, like the other available Fido plans, will allow for promotional pricing of the iPhone 3G/3GS which is $99 (iPhone 3G 8GB), $199 (iPhone 3GS 16GB), and $299 (iPhone 3GS 32GB):

Individual Plan [Updated]

$50/month

  • 36 month contract/renewal
  • 100 Minutes
  • Unlimited Evenings/Weekends @ 7PM
  • 500MB Data
  • Unlimited SMS
  • No SAF, No GRR Fee

While this plan is not new, considering it is Fido’s $25 voice plan + $25 data plan, this package may show up as a combo plan instead of separating the features as it is now.

I don't see how this even comes close to competing against Telus' supposed 35$ plan.

So much for competing. It's just going to be the same shit. Either way you slice it we still pay through the nose.

I'm happy with what I get money but I'm def not happy with what I pay.

This is not a NEW plan, you can currently have this if you choose the $25 for the voice option which gives you 100 min and $25 data option which gives you 500MB, if you want visual voice mail and caller ID you can choose the value pack for $10 -
