Rumours we’ve heard so far about the next-generation iPhone launch remains in two camps, with reports hinting towards Apple’s annual September media event, but AllThingsD noting an October launch.Â Rogers employees are already undergoingÂ ‘iPhone pre-launch’ training, and Telus has been rumoured toÂ sell the iPhone 5 in October.
MacRumors reports KodawarisanÂ states the Fall media event will take place on September 7th, a Wednesday. Arnold Kim followed up with Kodawarisan, and noted the source was ‘in the know’. Kodawarisan was correct in previously predicting a Mac mini launch date back in ’09. Google Translation of the Japanese site as follows:

Apple gives roughly a week’s notice for invited media to attend their events. For this year, if the rumoured September 7th date is correct, we should hear about invites being received on August 31st. To make the waiting easier, someone needs to create an Advent calendar for Apple product launches.
