How to Delete an App from the Mac App Store

So you just installed the Mac App Store and OS X 10.6.6, eh? Installing or purchasing an App from the Mac App Store is simple if you’re already familiar with the process from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

But what about deleting an app? You can’t tap and hold, wait for the ‘jiggle’ and tap the ‘x’ like on iOS.

How to delete an app from the Mac App Store

1. Drag the app icon to the Trash.
2. Type in your admin password to complete the process.

That was easy. It’s the same process as deleting any application on your Mac. Also, you can redownload any Mac App Store for free, without paying for the app again, just like the App Store for iOS.

With the future release of OS X 10.7 Lion, we should see the easier ‘jiggle and delete’ method.

I wonder, if you want to reinstall, do you have to pay for it again?

Nope. It’s just like the App Store for iOS.

But why? this all relates. You don’t use a Mac to update your iPhone? Some of us do.

And since majority of iPhone users use Windows machine to sync their iPhones, so shouldn’t this web site start reporting Windows news too?

Of course not.

The fact is that this blog is supposed to be every thing “iPhone related”, not Apple related (Click “About” in right upper corner). So these Mac news are definitely out of place no matter how you look at it.

Yeah Gary, even though I have a mac this site is for iPhone In Canada news not Mac news. You should keep the site on topic. Just like you have a seperate site for iPad and one for Andriod.
