Share:

Canadians looking to purchase HD movies from the Canada iTunes Store may now do so, as Apple has finally made available HD Movies for purchase from the Canadian iTunes Store. Before today, Canadian iTunes shoppers could only rent HD movies via AppleTV.

The HD titles are already up and running and available for purchase/download. Some of the wicked awesome featured movies are Star Trek, Inglourious Basterds and more.

Current pricing ranges from $19.99 to $24.99 depending on the movie. The movie pricing is comparable from what Canadians would normally pay at big box electronic retailers such as BestBuy or FutureShop.

On the iTunes store it says you can watch on your Mac/PC in HD or on TV using AppleTV. Can you also burn to BluRay if you've bought the HD movie? I don't have AppleTV and watching HD on my PC is nowhere near as satisfying as on my 55″ HDTV!

    Right on!

I would just use my XBox 360 to watch it!

I know that iTunes is giving the feature to get movies now
with an app download. This is also the case in Canada. I think this is cool but if
you really want to get a great experience and get unlimited access to movies,
shows and games then you will need the Blockbuster Movie Pass. This is access
to the newest movies and games a month before the competition. I am a movie
junkie and my kids love games so this works out best for me. I got this over at
my job DISH and it’s a great deal for $10.00 per month. iTunes, Redbox, and
Netflix can’t touch this feature or offer.
