Videotron Advertising in Ottawa as Alternative Carrier to Rogers, Telus and Bell

Quebec-based carrier Videotron has announced it marketing itself heavily in the nation’s capital right now, as it wants citizens in Ottawa, Ontario, to know it is a viable alternative to current ‘Big 3’ carriers.

“We want to energize this market by offering innovative services, attractive plans and the best customer experience anywhere,” said Bertrand Hébert, Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer of Videotron, in a press release. “Like our entry into the Québec mobile market, our presence in Ottawa creates another option for consumers looking for mobile services that truly meet their needs.”

The new ad blitz will see Videotron highlight its customer service, powerful LTE network, and the fact all their wireless plans are Canada-wide and include extended national coverages. Videotron says new customers switching over can retain their phones, while also port over their existing 613 number to Videotron, if they choose to do so.

The company says they are the only wireless carrier in Canada to offer the “same plans and prices in Ontario and Quebec,” allowing those in Ottawa to benefit from competitive plans, their Club illico mobile streaming services, and their recent family discount offering up to two free smartphones with unlimited calling and texting for teens.

A third Videotron retail outlet is set to open later this summer at the Bayshore Shopping Centre, to join existing locations at St. Laurent Centre and Place d’Orléans. Citizens in Ottawa can expect to see billboards, online ads, radio commercials and major event sponsorships throughout this summer.
