After Spotify teamed up with Google to offer $9.99 Google Home Mini speakers with Premium memberships, it now appears Amazon is doing the same with its Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, which costs $9.99 per month.

According to RFD, targeted emails are being sent out to subscribers with the following offer:

As a thank you for being an Amazon Music Unlimited listener we are pleased to offer you the Echo Dot (3rd Gen) for $9.99. With bigger, better sound, the Echo Dot (3rd Gen) is ideal for listening to all your favourite Amazon Music tracks at home. Just ask Alexa to play songs by lyrics, genre, artist or title, and more.

Currently, Amazon’s third-get Echo Dot is on sale for $49.99, normally priced at $69.99.

Those being targeted with this offer include family members part of a family account, and not the account holders themselves.

Music Unlimited costs $9.99 CAD per month and comes with unlimited access to “millions of songs” with no ads, offline downloads and hands-free Alexa support.

Amazon says unique claim codes need to be used at checkout for the discount, with codes redeemable until May 26, 2019, 11:59 pm PST.

Spotify said its Google Home Mini promo helped it push monthly active paid subscribers to over 100 million members, continuing to hold its lead over Apple Music, with numbers double of the latter.
