aTV Flash (black) 2.2 Released by Firecore to Support iOS 6.1

The Firecore team has announced the release of aTV Flash (black) 2.2 and Seas0nPass to support Apple TV firmware 5.2 (iOS 6.1) to support Bluetooth keyboards and more.

Full list of changes

  • NEW! Added support for Apple TV 5.2 and Bluetooth keyboards
  • Minor improvements to backups
  • Minor improvements to DVD playback
  • A handful of other bug fixes and improvements

Note: Some 3rd party plugins such as Plex, Remote HD, Rowmote, and XBMC are not yet compatible with the 5.1+ Apple TV software.

aTV Flash 2.1 was released a month ago and the company remains optimistic about a jailbreak for the third generation Apple TV. Since the latter remains unjailbroken, the demand for second generation Apple TV units has skyrocketed with units selling for as much as $400 CDN on eBay.

aTV Flash allows users with second generation Apple TV units to easily jailbreak their devices and allow for a custom entertainment solution for $29.95.

Look to see what others are selling for on Craigslist in your area. That’s a start. It’s at least $250 or so right now. YMMV.
