Exclusive: iPhone 3G invisibleSHIELD 10% OFF Coupon Code!

A lot of people have been emailing and asking about what case to get for their new iPhone 3G. At first I used a silicone case with my first generation iPhone. However, dust would get into the back of the case and ended up scratching my phone! I ended up testing a few more cases, but in the end I decided to just forego a case at all because it hid the sexiness of the Jesus phone.

More and more people are inquiring about the so-called invisibleSHIELD. For those who don’t know, the invisibleSHIELD is a full body armour that is applied to your iPhone. Just what does it do?

Basically its super human strength plastic that can protect from key scratches and loose change. It’s what I currently have on my first generation iPhone. What makes the invisibleSHIELD so special? Well first of all there’s a 30 day money back guarantee on your order, plus a lifetime replacement warranty–and free shipping! That’s right…if at any time your invisibleSHIELD peels, you just pay for shipping and you get a replacement.

This might not be the case for everyone though. Many people like to use the iPhone naked with a leather case or hard cover case. However, if you really want full body protection then consider the invisibleSHIELD. Don’t take my word for it, read my review here and decide for yourself! The installation requires some patience and time, but it’s well worth it. My tip to you is to use as much spray (mild soap solution) as possible during the install!

I haven’t tried the invisibleSHIELD (so I can’t compare), but have been using the Elan Clip from Griffin Technologies for my first gen iPhone. I have liked this case so much that I’m going to buy the new Elan Clip for my 3G iPhone. This company makes excellent products, and follow-up with top customer service. So if you’re looking for a case with a clip (great for hanging from your belt, inside jacket pocket, etc), then I would highly recommend the Elan Clip. I’ve been looking at purchasing one of these. Nice review on your first gen! The thing I am still wondering is if it affects reception at all for phone/3g or gps?
I know people who tint their car windows and use their defroster strips as their antenna can have problems with that and this basically surrounds both sides of the antennas with a film.
Oh, one more thing.. how hard is it to get this off safely if you want to remove it later?

I hear that they can’t be removed, or once removed, leave marks behind on the phone. Is this true?

FYI-I bought the ipod navigator FM transmiter/car charger from Canadian Tire for my 3G. $10.00! Best FM transmitter for the Iphone I’ve ever used-No interference and crystal clear reception. I also found it very easy to put free ringtones on the 3G.

i LOVE the griffin wave cases. It is a solid case with a slight rubber matte feel to it. It fits very snugly around the iphone and is slightly transparent so you can still see the phone.

The only problem with it is it comes with a polycarbonate screen protector, which is actually kind of thick (not as flexible as film) which just sits on top of the screen. You end up with air bubbles and such, but it doesn’t affect any touch sensitivity at all. The good thing is though you can just get rid of that and use the invisible shield screen protector instead. Even without the invisible shield, the screen protector it comes with isn’t enough to make me not get the wave case.

I would highly suggest the iskin case. It has a plastic cover that protects the screen when not in use, this cover clips on the back when you are using your phone. I had this for my 1st gen iPhone, it was perfect. I believe they will be releasing a 3g version this month. For me it was important to have the screen protected, sooner or later you’ll forget to remove those keys or change from your picket before tossing your phone in with them!

Dreamer-$10.00 was a weekly sale price at Canadian Tire. I’ve seen them on sale 4 times already. You have to keep checking the flyer, or get one from ebay for about $25.00. To good to be true? I tried many FM transmitters and had to take them all back becuase of the interference. Then one day I’m in Canadian Tire and see these things in a bin. I figure for $10.00 bucks I’ll buy it and even if it does not transmit very well, I can still use it as a car charger. I went to the parking lot and tried it. It sounded great! I walked back in the store and bought 8 more and sold them to my buddies.

John: the invisibleshield can be removed easily and will not leave marks on your iPhone. However, I’ve heard of others’ experiencing the back taking off a bit of the “iPhone” marking on first gen iPhones. But it’s not that big of a deal.

Penfield: those magnets aren’t strong enough to get your credit cards or phone!

case finder: they didn’t pay me anything to write my useless article, just like how you weren’t paid to write your useless comment! ;)

    Jose: review coming soon–stay tuned.

David: no marks will be left on the phone.

George: I’d be careful with the FM transmitter if it’s not “Apple Certified”. Read my post here:
    http://www.iphoneincanada.ca/iphone-blog-news/iphone-car-chargers-can-brick-your-iphone/

Zagg has sent me 10 shields in the past to give away and they have sponsored our TalkCast. Great bunch of guys to work with. :)

Phil: Try emailing, tell them you were sent from my site and see if they can apply a credit to you or something. Definitely worth a shot!

dannyboy: I’m all about saving money baby! However, if you guys could go through my aff. link and support the site, it’d be greatly appreciated. If not, that’s okay too. :)
