Apple has just seeded iOS 5.0.1 beta to developers. The improvements and fixes include the following:

  • Fixes bugs affecting battery life
  • Adds Multitasking Gestures for original iPad
  • Resolves bugs with Documents in the Cloud
  • Improves voice recognition for Australian users using dictation
  • Contains security improvements
  • iOS 5.0.1 beta introduces a new way for developers to specify files that should remain on device, even in low storage situations
  • The iPhone 4S has been plagued by faster than normal battery drain, in which many have linked to Location services used by the Reminders app, Find my Friends, and more. As tips come in we’ll keep you updated. The iPhone 4S download comes in at 811MB.

iPad 1 multitask gestures coming back… sweet.

I wouldn’t be surprised if leaving the gestures out of iOS5 was just an accident… leaving them out for a few weeks doesn’t make much sense.

Are they any fixes on the music playlist? I have the newest song sort to the top in iTunes but it’s reversed in the playlist in the iPhone 4S. What gives. Is there something I’m missing???

obviously not the case with everyone else, but I found my battery life increased with iOS 5.

Same here. I’m using an iPhone 4 and loving my increased battery life. I used to be under 20% at the end of the day. Now I’m hovering around 50%.
