Amazon Prime Video for Apple TV Sets First-Week tvOS Download Record

Earlier this month, Amazon Prime Video finally landed on Apple TV, after being announced this summer back at WWDC.

Now, according to Amazon, Prime Video has set a record for the most first-week downloads of any app in history of tvOS, explains a company spokesperson in an email to iPhone in Canada.

“Prime Video has been a hit with Apple TV customers around the world,” says Amazon of its streaming video service, which comes free as part of Prime membership.

Amazon Prime Video is also integrated into the TV iOS app, which lets users watch from any iOS device, plus utilize Siri for searching for titles with their voice. The Amazon Prime Video was also recently updated for the latest iPhone X’s display.
