Live In Kingston? The Forecast Calls For WIND

WIND mobile goes live in Kingston

WIND mobile promised they’d be up and running in Kingston this year, and it seems they’ve come through on their promise.

The updated coverage map on WIND’s website shows the network is now live, and the retail store is open. If you’re interested in checking it out, the store is located at 70 Princess Street.

The next expansion plans include Woodstock, Peterborough, and WINDsor.

The announcement is just in time for Kingstonites, who can also take advantage of the recently leaked “Back to School” promo plans.

Cruise the hallways of your high school with this slick plan:

WIND Mobile Back-to-School promo starts Thursday August 2nd, Price: $29/month?

– Unlimited data?

– Unlimited local calling?

– Unlimited Canada-wide text?

– Call control (caller ID, missed call alerts, call waiting, call hold, call forwarding and conference calling), no voicemail?

Customers are eligible for the WINDTab at $200 and the “Better Together Savings,” and the plans are good for life.

Unlimited data? Is this too good to be true? Anyone know if this plan is available to students only?

The plan is expected to become available this week or next. I for one will be looking into this a bit more. Now, if only an iPhone will be available on the AWS spectrum, then we’d be happy campers.
