Apple Pencil Undergoes Torture Test in Charging Position [VIDEO]

Last week, the iPad Pro went on sale online and at Apple Stores, select carriers and authorized resellers across Canada, along with the new Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil accessories. While the iPad Pro is currently available to ship within 1 business day via the Canadian online Apple Store, the Apple Pencil is already showing estimated shipping times of 4-5 weeks, which clearly shows the overwhelming demand for Apple’s first ever iPad stylus.

As amazing as the Apple Pencil is because of its fluid, virtually no-lag performance, the ability to charge it by simply plugging it into the Lightning port of the iPad Pro, with just 15 seconds of charge giving you 30 minutes of use, is pretty darn impressive as well. However, one might wonder how easy it would be to snap the Pencil while it’s in this vulnerable position. To answer this question, YouTuber Zach Starlet has put the iPad Pro stylus through significant torture and has shared the result in a new video (via CultofMac).

Of course it is very much possible to break the Apple Pencil, it however takes a lot more effort than an accidental jolt to snap it, thanks to a built-in special hinge element which provides the Pencil with some added give. Check out the video below and tell us what you think:
