The Apple HomeKit compatible Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt has just received its very own companion Wi-Fi Adapter, which lets you check on the lock’s status from anywhere, so you never have to wonder if the front door was left unlocked.
The simple wall plug-in Schlage Sense Wi-Fi Adapter will also send push notifications when the lock is used and is set to retail for $69.99 USD (Canadian pricing coming):

nice idea, but if you bought the Sense instead of the Connect, it was because you are using HomekIt and if you are using HomeKit you likely already have an Apple TV. If you have an AppleTV, then you don’t need this wifi adapter. So, the only group this adapter are people that want the HomeKit model but don’t really use HomeKit.

We have the Sense. But our ATV4 is downstairs…and connectivity is still pretty poor.

I totally agree here. Not very safe with lock is connected directly to the internet. Homekit essentially keeps it safe.
I want a HomeKit compatible lock that does not have a keypad – only a key slot. I have yet to find one…
How hard have you actually looked? August and Kwikset both have top selling homekit locks, neither of which has a keypad. The August even lets you use your existing key set, as it only replaces the thumbdial on the inside.
Oh I know about those but they’re essentially just a deadbolt. I didn’t find one with the whole apparatus, including the key (I need to replace my front door’s lock so I want a full lock).
kwikset replaces the whole lock. Have you looked at all?
Sure I did. The HomeKit compatible locks by KwikSet are the Premis ones and have a keypad. The round one with a key (Kevo) is not HomeKit enabled.
I see. Guess you’ll have to keep waiting or go with the August and a new lock.
