iPhone X Availability is Plentiful in Canada Right Now at Apple Stores
Still hunting for an iPhone X? You should be able to get one easily as right now, stock appears to be plentiful at Apple Stores across Canada, while the USA is showing none available, according to the map below from iStockNow:
Again, your best bet to find an iPhone X in Canada is to get push alerts from the Twitter account @rh_monitor, which tweets out real-time updates for Apple’s Reserve and Pick Up page.
When you reserve your iPhone X for pick up at an Apple Store, you have the option to purchase outright or upgrade or renew your contract with wireless carriers.

Not even worth over $1500. Save your money and either go with the 8 or stick with your old phone (if it’s not already been partially bricked by Apple).
I’m with you there. I just cannot in any reasonable way justify this years’ price. $1500 is MacBook territory.
So does the note 8 with almost same price.
Well I added one extra in Mississauga today with the sealed one I returned. I would’ve kept it, but I couldn’t wrap my head around the price. The guy at the Apple Store was pretty confident it would be gone within the half hour though, he said space greys were in demand
If the outright option was available in instalments I might have been able to handle it. Oh well

I didn’t think they could sell returned phones, once the phone leaves the store, it can’t be resold as brand new.
Like I mentioned earlier, I never opened it. It made it easier to actually return because it was past 14 days. Mind you they can check it to be sure…
I’m not doubting you. It’s just the idea behind selling a product as brand new when it has clearly been sold to someone else before being sold to he current buyer. If Apple unseals it to check, the simple act of unsealing it renders it anything but brand new.
If it’s sealed it’s never been used. What does it matter? That someone else touched the box? It will be sold as new as it is new. Never opened. Never activated.
Though I think it’s a waste of money for anyone.
It does matter. Once a product leaves a the store and is in the possesion of another party, there is no guarantee the item hasn’t been tampered with, ect. Most stores that accept a return would either restock the item as open box item, or send it back to the manufacturer to have it inspected and recertified as brand new. Apple stores themselves may be doing this on site, a possibility.
Legally speaking, an item that has untampered packaging can be sold again as new. This is a common practice in retail. You can check canada’s Consumer protection laws on that one. Otherwise what you are calling for is a lot of excessive waste in manufacturing since what you’re proposing is that retailers scrap an unopened item just because it has been sold and returned.
I can tell you on good authority that Apple does not open closed box return to verify that they are not tampered with. That assessment is done visually at the time of the refund by the specialist. Stores din’t have the ability to re-seal boxes. Open box returns or products with open packaging are returned to the warehouse.
Actually I know from experience they do not sell a sealed returned iPhone in an Apple store. I returned a sealed iPhone 6 Plus last year to the Apple store Yorkdale and to my surprise they broke shrink wrap seal to inspect it and process the return. They told me this is their policy.
Yeah I currently work for the company and that’s definitely not a companywide policy.
The only way they would break the shrink wrap is if they had reason to believe it’s been re-sealed. Not saying that you did, all I’m saying is what happened to you is not a company-wide policy.
Good to know. I was surprised as I actually returned 2 of them unused. Seemed like a waste to me. Glad to know it is not always the case.
But why take that risk. Sure if a customer buys it, and on the extremely rare instance that it was tampered with and the employee just missed it, they can always return it. But your going to have a pissed off customer that had to return a product they shouldnt have had to because it was suppose to be new and untampered by someone else.
One customer out of literal millions.
You yourself take this risk anytime you buy any non-consumable good that is packaged. Doesn’t just apply to iPhones or Apple Stores.
Same thing happened to me.
I returned mine last weekend…unopened and still secured with the plastic inside the shipping box from Apple. It had “sold” to someone before my refund was even processed!
The Apple employee had a laugh with me…the person claiming it didn’t even know the colour or capacity, and didn’t care.
I got mine last Friday from Costco.
