iPhone XS Max Users Continue to Report Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues
Soon after the debut of Apple’s iPhone XS / XS Max flagship smartphones, a growing number of early buyers started reporting poor Wi-Fi and cellular connections on both iPhone models. Some users reported they were unable to connect to Wi-Fi altogether, while others said they were getting weak Wi-Fi signal.
While most people labelled it a software issue and hoped that Apple would promptly roll out an update to address it, a number of iPhone XS Max users continue to report Wi-Fi connectivity problems with their handsets.
A Reddit user has recently posted that he needs to toggle Airplane mode on/off every three minutes on his iPhone XS Max in order to make it work on his Wi-Fi network. “I hope they at least address this issue, WiFi pretty much just doesn’t work on my phone and it’s probably the most frustrating thing for me. Really considering switching to an older iPhone”, he writes.
A bunch of users has chimed in with responses suggesting multiple fixes ranging from restarting the handset or resetting the network settings, to ditching the iPhone altogether. One user also suggests that switching to 2.5Ghz Wi-Fi seems to solve the issue.
