STACK Mastercard App Adds Virtual Card for Online Purchases

Toronto-based fintech STACK has updated their iOS app to add a new virtual card for users, allowing them to immediately use their card right away.

STACK is a prepaid and reloadable Mastercard, aimed at millennials who want a fee-free spending account with rewards of a credit card, but also acts like a debit card for cash purchases.

The STACK iOS app was updated yesterday to now add a virtual prepaid card, letting users who sign up to instantly use their card, while they are waiting for their physical card to arrive in the mail.

STACK offers instant spending notifications, while it also tracks categories of your spending to let you get a bigger idea of your spending habits. You can use your money worldwide with no foreign exchange fees, plus withdraw money from ATMs at local exchange rates. The card is accepted worldwide anywhere Mastercard is accepted.

Members also get exclusive cash rewards when they make purchases from STACK partners, such as the following available right now:

  • 20% off Vitamix blenders
  • 15% off JBL products
  • 10% off LG products
  • 20% off Thule products
  • 20% off 2XU products
  • Save up to 40% off Adidas
  • 50% off first orders with Chefs Plate
  • $2 off your next brunch
  • $1 off your next gas purchase
  • 50% off swimwear from Cupshe
  • $150 off Contiki Tours
  • 40% off at Dessy.com

New offers are available monthly, while previous offers included free Amazon Prime and Netflix.

STACK offers support via in-app chat with a real human, while the new Virtual Card can be frozen in the app at anytime and anywhere, along with your physical card as well. With a dedicated virtual card, you can pause the card in the event of any security breaches at online retailers, while your physical card remains safe.
