Benchmarks for Maxed-Out Mac Pro with Dual Vega II Duo Hit the Web

Earlier his month, sales for Apple’s new Mac Pro went live in Canada starting at $7,499 CAD. But after all the maxed-out hardware upgrades, it costs as much as $71,229 CAD after taxes in B.C.

A maxed-out Mac Pro features the following hardware upgrades over the base model:

• 2.5GHz 28 core Intel Xeon W processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.4GHz
• 1.5TB (12x128GB) of DDR4 ECC memory
• Two Radeon Pro Vega II Duo with 2x32GB of HBM2 memory each
• 4TB SSD storage
• Apple Afterburner card
• Stainless steel frame with wheels
• Magic Mouse 2 + Magic Trackpad 2

Today, some of the very first benchmark test scores for the maxed-out Mac Pro have surfaced online.

Below are some of the top benchmark scores:

3DMark Time Spy: 8,618

• Graphics score: 8,537
• CPU score: 9,113

3DMark Fire Strike Extreme: 11,644

• Graphics score: 12,700
• CPU score: 23,237

VRMark Orange Room: 10,238

V-Ray:

• CPU: 34,074 samples
• GPU: 232 mpaths (used CPU, did not detect GPU on macOS or Windows)

Cinebench R20: 9,705



Blender (macOS):

• BMW CPU: 1:11 (slower in Windows)
• BMW GPU: did not detect GPUs in macOS, detected in Windows but forgot to log time because it was ~7 minutes.
• Classroom CPU: 3:25
• Gooseberry CPU: 7:54

Geekbench 5:

• CPU single: 1151
• CPU multicore: 19650
