Adobe has released an update for its photo editing software Lightroom to now support Apple Silicon.
The version 4.1 update released on Tuesday, December 8, says it now “includes bug fixes and support for new cameras and lenses. Additionally, Lightroom now works natively on computers with Apple Silicon hardware.”
Apple Silicon Macs include the new 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro and Mac mini. With support for Macs with the new M1 chip, Adobe Lightroom can run natively and no longer need Apple’s Rosetta translation process for apps made to run on Intel Macs. The result should be better performance and battery life for your M1 Mac.
