Apple has announced its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place June 7 through 11, in an all-online format again, due to COVID-19.
WWDC21 will preview the next versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS for developers. We should get our first look at iOS 15 and more this year.
Also kicking off is the annual Swift Student Challenge, where young developers can show off their coding skills within a Swift playground, with submissions now being accepted through April 18.
“We love bringing our developers together each year at WWDC to learn about our latest technologies and to connect them with Apple engineers,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations and Enterprise and Education Marketing, in a statement.
“We are working to make WWDC21 our biggest and best yet, and are excited to offer Apple developers new tools to support them as they create apps that change the way we live, work, and play,” added Prescott.

Apple says WWDC21 will be free for its over 28 million developers.
