Super Bowl 2022 Peaked at 11.4 Million Viewers During the Half-Time Show in Canada

According to early data released by Numeris, yesterday’s Super Bowl LVI saw an average audience of 8.1 million viewers across CTV, TSN and RDS, said Bell Media on Monday afternoon, making it the biggest broadcast even of the year for the network.

Bell says about 45% of the Canadian population, or 16.9 million viewers, saw some or all of the broadcast at some point on Sunday. During the epic half-time show featuring hip hop legends Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and a surprise appearance from 50 Cent, audiences peaked at 11.4 million viewers at 5:21pm PT/8:21pm ET.

Data shows CTV was the most-watched network on Sunday in Canada, while TSN social media platforms saw 5.5 million views, with TikTok logging in 3 million views.

Bell, the official broadcaster of the NFL and the Super Bowl, says live streaming of 2021 football games in Canada increased by 34% compared to the 2020 season.

Super Bowl LVI saw the Los Angeles Rams win the Vince Lombardi Trophy at home, beating the Cincinnati Bengals.
