Over the past week, Telus has been slowly detailing its investments in various communities in B.C. and Ontario, with millions to spent to expand 5G and its PureFibre networks.
Today, Telus earmarked $11 million into Saanich on Vancouver Island in B.C., while yesterday it said it would pledge $24 million in Burnaby on Vancouver’s Lower Mainland and also $5 million in Windsor, Ontario. Again, these are to expand PureFibre and 5G networks.
Earlier this week, Telus said it would commit $23 million in Surrey in Metro Vancouver, again to expand PureFibre. In late May, $28 million was pledged for the Tri-Cities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody in B.C.’s Lower Mainland.
Telus says it is investing $17 billion in B.C. now through 2028, and also $24 billion across Ontario in the same time period. Alberta will see a $10 billion investment and also $16 billion for Quebec as well.
