Apple Watch Series 10: Everything You Need to Know
Apple has today officially introduced the Apple Watch Series 10, bringing a host of new features, a refined design, advanced health insights, and improved functionality.

Here’s a breakdown of the key highlights.
Sleeker, Thinner Design
The Apple Watch Series 10 is now 10% thinner than its predecessors, offering a more comfortable and sleek look. Its metal back integrates the antenna into the housing, giving it a seamless, unified appearance.
Available in aluminum and titanium, the new finishes include a polished jet black and a lightweight titanium option. This titanium model is 20% lighter than stainless steel, making it ideal for all-day wear.

Bigger and Brighter Display
One of the biggest upgrades in Series 10 is the display. The larger screen offers 30% more active screen area than previous versions, making it easier to interact with messages, apps, and notifications.
The wide-angle OLED display is 40% brighter from various angles. It also boasts a more efficient refresh rate, allowing for smoother always-on functionality, with users able to view ticking seconds without raising their wrist.
Faster Charging for Daily Use
Charging is faster than ever with Series 10. Just 15 minutes of charging provides up to 8 hours of regular usage, while 8 minutes can power a full night of sleep tracking. It charges to 80% in just 30 minutes.
This enhanced charging capability ensures you can quickly top up and stay connected throughout the day, even with heavy usage.
Sleep Apnea Detection
The Apple Watch Series 10 introduces a new sleep apnea detection feature. Using its accelerometer, the watch tracks breathing disturbances during sleep, identifying potential signs of sleep apnea.
These disruptions are monitored in the Health app, with users receiving notifications if data suggests consistent signs of sleep apnea. The feature is supported by advanced machine learning and extensive clinical testing.

Health and Fitness Insights
Series 10 builds on its health-tracking features, monitoring key metrics such as heart rate, respiratory rate, and wrist temperature. The watch notifies users when these metrics deviate from their normal range.
In addition, watchOS 11 introduces more fitness tools, including training load insights that help users gauge the intensity of their workouts. Customizable Activity rings also allow users to set goals based on the day of the week.
Water Depth and Temperature Sensors
The new depth gauge on Apple Watch Series 10 measures water depth up to 6 meters, making it perfect for snorkeling and shallow diving. The built-in water temperature sensor adds another layer of aquatic fitness tracking.
The watch also automatically activates when submerged, displaying depth, water temperature, and other essential metrics in the Depth app for easy underwater visibility.

New Watch Faces and Tides App
WatchOS 11 brings fresh new watch faces designed to take advantage of the bigger screen. The Flux face fills the display with bold colors, while the Reflections face reacts subtly to user movements.
The Tides app is another addition, providing seven days of forecasted tidal information for beaches and surf spots worldwide. It shows detailed tidal data, including high and low tides and sunrise and sunset times.

New Apple Watch Bands, Availability and Pricing
The Milanese Loop and Link Bracelet bands have been updated to perfectly color-match the new titanium cases of Apple Watch Series 10. Additionally, the Nike Sport Loop and Nike Sport Band are available in bold new colorways.
Apple Watch Series 10 is available for pre-order starting today, with general availability beginning Friday, September 20. Canadian pricing for Apple Watch Series 10 starts at CAD $549 for the Aluminum and CAD $999 for the Titanium versions.
