Paid $5K for Apple Vision Pro? This New Accessory Should Have Been Included
Belkin has introduced a new head strap, priced at $69.95 in Canada, designed to improve the Apple Vision Pro experience.
Although currently unavailable for delivery and pickup in Canada (it has yet to launch), the strap offers an ergonomic, adjustable fit to boost comfort and keep the Vision Pro steady—even during intense movement.
The strap’s listing was spotted by Brad Lynch, who said, “Apple is going to start selling a new Belkin top strap that is meant to pair with the included Solo Knit head strap. Hilarious.”
The strap features a secure locking system and added stability points, making it a solid accessory to the Solo Knitted band.
Belkin says this is made from premium materials, is built to last, and is easy to install and remove. With a length of about 16 inches and weighing less than an ounce, it’s designed to fit a wide range of head sizes comfortably.
For Apple to charge $4,999 in Canada for the Vision Pro to start, you’d think they would have the decency to include a head strap so you could wear it more comfortably.
Belkin was acquired by Apple’s iPhone manufacturer Foxconn’s subsidiary, Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT) in March 2018. FIT also owns Linksys. Belkin essentially makes accessories hand-in-hand with Apple at this point.
If you want a cheaper head strap for the Vision Pro? Spigen has its padded head strap for the Vision Pro, but at 50% of the price of the Belkin version, priced at $34.95 on Amazon.ca.

That much money for what is essentially one half of a pair of suspenders?
Very expensive, but it works much better than the Spigen strap. The Spigen strap, which I returned, has a very limited flexibility. I have been using the Globular Cluster CMA1 too, but it is a pain to have a bulk piece of plastic on your either the top or back of your head when resting your head on the sofa or bed. Also, the front of the Globular Cluster squeezes to the front (at least in my head). The Belkin solved both issues: minimalist and efficient. With the Belkin strap, pushing the solo knit band down makes the head set feel extremely comfortable. I don’t feel the temptation to use it without the light seal. Apple should have included something like the Belkin strap as part of the Vision Pro (just like it appeared for a few seconds in the initial advertisement for the Vision Pro).
