How to Use Photographic Styles on iPhone 16 [VIDEO]
The iPhone 16 series comes packed with new camera features, including the ability to use Photographic Styles—a feature designed to elevate your photos by customizing the look and tone before you even take a shot.

In a new support video, Apple provided a step-by-step guide on how to set a default style and adjust it while snapping photos. Here’s everything you need to know about using Photographic Styles to take your mobile photography to the next level.
Photographic Styles on the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, and iPhone 16 Pro allow you to modify specific tones and colors in your photos, ensuring that the final image matches your creative vision. Unlike traditional filters that apply a blanket effect over your entire photo, Photographic Styles are more nuanced.
The feature targets individual elements—like skin tones, skies, or greenery—without altering other parts of the image, allowing for a more tailored look.
Once you’ve selected a Photographic Style, it becomes the default setting for all photos taken on your iPhone, so you can maintain a consistent aesthetic. To set up a default Photographic Style:
- Open the Settings App: Navigate to your iPhone’s Settings menu.
- Access Camera Settings: Scroll down and tap on Camera to access the specific features related to your device’s camera functions.
- Select Photographic Styles: In the Camera settings, tap Photographic Styles.
- Follow the On-Screen Instructions: Once you tap Get Started, the iPhone will guide you through the process of selecting a default style.
