Amazon’s ‘Made in Canada’ Storefront is Here to Shop Local

If you’re caught up in the U.S.-Canada tariff war and are hell bent on supporting made in Canada products, Amazon has launched a storefront showing nothing but Canadian products.
“This dedicated storefront aims to promote Canadian expertise by bringing together products reported as Made in Canada by our selling partners,” explains the Amazon.ca storefront.
Categories include grocery and gourmet food, home and kitchen, clothing, health and personal care, beauty, sports and outdoor, handmade, baby, pet supplies and everything else.

If that’s not enough for you, Amazon now has a dedicated ‘Made in Quebec’ storefront as well, showcasing all the items from Quebec. Amazon recently pulled out of Quebec entirely, which some suspected was because one warehouse had unionized.

Buying made in Canada on Amazon… Right… F Bezos.
Nice job pitching to Canadians to buy made in Canada products to support an American oligarch.
Also, I’m almost certain products marked Made in Canada are made from foreign sourced materials (including a lot of American ones). How’s that for a plot twist?
There are 3 grades of products with regards to how much Canadian they are, in descending order:
1. Product of Canada
2. Made in Canada
3. Prepared in Canada

Here's another idea to shop local: close your Amazon account and buy your canadian products elsewhere.
I think a better plan is to set out a covert mission and takeover Washington D.C. to declare the United States Canada's eleventh province.
Not that we are living in Utopia here, but do we really want all the problems they are having down there to became our own? Let them sort it out first, if that is even possible, then maybe we let them audition to join? 🙂
But seriously, Turks and Caicos joining Canada has been floated a few times, even in Parliament and I wouldn’t mind that. Canadians having their own Caribbean winter getaway would be worth the price of having to extend social services, healthcare, etc.. to them.
The Good Lord knows we Canadians could use an escape from our long winters that is nice and warm and still be able to use our ever falling Canadian dollar. Whatever happened to that idea?

Plus it’s way higher pay than I would ever get back in Canada. USA Software Engineering and Electronic Circuit Design buddy. NO thank you Canada 🙂 I keep a lot more of my pay and I can do it from anywhere, not a -32c snowy, grumpy I can’t even go outside it’s PAINFUL place. I’ll be in Mazatlan in about 3 weeks… Sun, 3 beaches, wonderful people.
The copium is strong with this one. Luckily you still have your Canadian passport to fall back on as things continue to fall apart around you. Good luck with your uhh… everything. See you soon.
I’m not sure what you’re getting at?
Copium – a substance said to have been ingested by those who remain unduly optimistic in the face of defeat or disappointment.
But… Canada is that disappointment. Canada is that defeat. Canada is that sad and cold place.
I’m loving it in America, Mexico in about 3 weeks and then it will be off to China for factory production.
“as things continue to fall apart around you”
Things have never been better for me, personally, financially and professionally. I think you’re talking about what’s going on in your life, in Canada.
It is not important that you don’t understand. I won’t mock you for your lack of perspective.
Things are looking up for Canada. We’re going in the proper direction. Rather than running from our problems we are learning to face them. We are stronger together.
What perspective? I lived in Canada for about 35 years… It was a huge regret for me, the people are sour (just like you seem to be)… the weather is terrible. the currency is weak. the taxes are very high. the healthcare system is very broken. I’ve never been more happy to be outside of that country.
My biggest regret in life was staying as long as I did, thinking things would get better.
My highest year in Canada was $198,000 (about $132k USD)… In the USA I already make about $300,000 in USD. There is no comparison to how much better life is here.
Already there buddy 🙂
A fellow that I know, a Californian says that they should join Canada and stop giving money to red states.
