Google Enhances Android Security with AI Scam Detection
Google has introduced a suite of new Android features aimed at enhancing user security, including AI-powered scam detection in Google Messages, and live location sharing through the Find My Device app.

AI-Powered Scam Detection in Google Messages
To combat the increasing prevalence of text message scams, Google Messages now incorporates an AI-driven scam detection feature. This tool monitors SMS, MMS, and RCS messages in real-time for patterns indicative of fraudulent activity.
Upon identifying a potential scam, the system alerts users with a warning, allowing them to block and report the sender promptly. Importantly, all processing occurs on-device, ensuring user privacy is maintained. Initially, this feature is available in English for users in the U.S., U.K., and Canada, with plans for broader rollout in the future.
Live Location Sharing via Find My Device
Enhancing personal safety and coordination, the Find My Device app now supports live location sharing with trusted contacts. Users can share their real-time whereabouts, facilitating meetups or providing peace of mind to friends and family.
Expanded Gaming Options with Android Auto
Users can now enjoy popular games such as “Farm Heroes Saga,” “Candy Crush Soda Saga,” “Angry Birds 2,” and “Beach Buggy Racing” directly on their car’s infotainment system.
To access these games, users need to download them onto their mobile devices, after which they become available in Android Auto, providing an engaging way to pass time during stops.

Enhanced Online Shopping Tools in Chrome
To assist users in making informed purchasing decisions, Chrome on Android has introduced new shopping insights and tools. These features enable users to check a product’s price history, track price drops, and compare prices across different retailers.
A “Price is low” notification in the Chrome address bar alerts users to favorable deals, ensuring they buy at the optimal time and secure the best prices available.
The new Android features are rolling out now to users worldwide
