Toronto-based Wealthsimple’s popular Apple promotion has returned, giving Canadians a chance to score free Apple gear — including the iPhone 17 series (including the iPhone 17 Air), MacBook Air, or even a Studio Display — by transferring or depositing new funds into their investment accounts.
According to details shared with users, those who register for the offer have 30 days to start an account transfer or deposit, and 90 days for the funds to arrive. To qualify, transfers or deposits must total at least $100,000 from another financial institution. Yeah, that’s a big chunk of change.
Depending on how much money is moved, investors can choose between various Apple rewards:
Wealthsimple says most account types qualify, including registered and crypto accounts, as long as the funds come from another Canadian institution. Internal transfers between Wealthsimple accounts don’t count toward the promotion.
Now, there’s always a catch. To keep the reward, clients must maintain their balance for 730 days after the funding period. A 20 percent withdrawal buffer is allowed, but removing more than that could lead to Wealthsimple recovering part of the device’s value.
The company also notes that it will reimburse transfer-out fees of up to $200 per account when $25,000 or more is moved in a single transfer.
The promotion runs until December 4, 2025 (11:59pm ET), and is available to eligible Canadian clients. Full terms and conditions are listed on Wealthsimple’s website.
