Samsung TVs to Get Google Photos Support
Samsung is preparing to bring Google Photos directly to its 2026 AI-powered televisions, making it easier for users to relive their personal memories on the big screen.
The new experience will allow owners of compatible Samsung TV models to see their pictures and short videos on a much larger screen without relying on casting or third-party apps.
Traditionally, Samsung owners who wanted to view their Google Photos content on a television needed to cast from a phone or tablet or rely on basic screensaver features that lack rich navigation. With the planned integration, users will be able to log in with their Google accounts on the TV and instantly access curated memories organized by people, places and meaningful moments.
Photos and videos captured on mobile devices will come to life in a cinema-like format, while families can gather around and enjoy highlights from travels, celebrations or everyday life together with stunning clarity.
The rollout will occur in phases during 2026, beginning in March when Samsung TVs are expected to become the first television platform to offer Google Photos’ “Memories” feature. This part of the service will automatically present curated collections of photos and clips grouped by themes such as friends, vacations, events or everyday moments.
Samsung has secured a period of six months during which this Memories feature will be exclusive to its TVs, giving its customers a unique way to revisit their digital photo libraries on a big screen.
Later in the year, Samsung and Google plan to introduce advanced tools that harness artificial intelligence to expand what viewers can do with their content.
