Guess Who Wins the Ultimate 2026 Flagship Battery Test [VIDEO]

The folks over at YouTube channel PhoneBuff have recently conducted an extensive battery test featuring 7 of the leading flagship phones of 2026, and the results are not what most would have expected.

The competition featured a diverse lineup of high-end devices, representing various chipsets and battery technologies:

  • iPhone 17 Pro Max: Powered by the A19 Pro chip with a 5,088 mAh battery.
  • Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a 5,000 mAh battery.
  • Google Pixel 10 Pro XL: Equipped with the custom Tensor G5 chip and a 5,200 mAh battery.
  • OnePlus 15: Boasting a massive 7,300 mAh silicon carbon battery and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
  • Oppo Find X9 Pro: The reigning champion, with a 7,500 mAh silicon carbon battery and the MediaTek Dimensity 9500.
  • Honor Magic 8 Pro: Utilizing a 7,100 mAh silicon carbon battery and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
  • Vivo X300 Pro: Featuring a 6,510 mAh silicon carbon battery and the MediaTek Dimensity 9500.

The test began with a series of standard tasks, including a one-hour phone call and an hour of messaging with an automated chatbot. Early on, the Vivo X300 Pro took a surprising lead, maintaining 98% battery after the messaging test, while the iPhone, Galaxy, and Pixel trailed behind.

As the test moved into more taxing territory, such as web browsing and social media usage on Instagram, the OnePlus 15 began to flex its muscles. In the browser test, which taxes the CPU by loading and scrolling through various websites, the OnePlus 15 not only showed superior raw percentage strength but also proved to be highly efficient in its estimated milliamp-hour usage.

By the time the phones reached the gaming, navigation (using Google Maps), and Spotify tests, a clear hierarchy had formed. The OnePlus 15 was leading the pack, followed by a second group consisting of the Oppo, Honor, and Vivo. The iPhone and Galaxy were in a distant third tier, with the Pixel 10 Pro XL struggling at the back.

As to which flagship phone reigns supreme in the ultimate 2026 battery test, watch the following video to find out.
