How CIBC Cardholders Can Get Disney+ for 50% Off Right Now

CIBC is giving its credit cardholders a reason to sign up for Disney+ with a new partnership that cuts the monthly subscription cost in half for six months.

As of April 7, 2026, eligible CIBC cardholders get a $4.50 statement credit each month when they pay for a Disney+ subscription using a qualifying card. Since the Standard with Ads plan runs $8.99 a month, that works out to exactly 50% off. The Standard and Premium tiers also qualify.

“So many of our clients are fans of Disney properties and experiences, and we’re excited to be able to offer them even more value through this program,” said Diane Ferri, Senior Vice-President, Day-to-Day Banking, CIBC, in a statement on Friday, making the promo official. “Our Disney+ offer provides subscribers with access to unique savings to stream their favourite content and exclusive benefits through the Disney+ Perks program.”

The offer is only available to new Disney+ subscribers or people who haven’t had an active subscription in the past 12 months, so existing subscribers are out of luck. You also need to pay directly through the Disney+ website using your CIBC card. If you pay through Apple, Google, or PayPal, the credit won’t apply. The $4.50 shows up on your statement within 90 days of each monthly payment and runs automatically for up to six consecutive months as long as your subscription stays active.

Most major CIBC card products are included, covering the Aventura, Aeroplan, Dividend, and Costco Mastercard lines. Authorized users on someone else’s account are not eligible.
