ASUS Launches Free Beta for Zenni Claw, its New AI Assistant

Asus is making a bigger push into AI with the launch of Zenni Claw, a new agentic AI assistant that’s now available as a free beta download for supported Windows PCs. Rather than acting as another chatbot, Zenni Claw is designed to complete multi-step tasks through guided workflows for work, travel, and everyday planning.
Agentic AI tools have become increasingly capable, but they often require users to configure models, create prompts, or build automations from scratch. As Asus explains, Zenni Claw aims to simplify that experience with a guided three-step setup process and a collection of built-in Asus Skills that let users jump directly into practical tasks.
At launch, the software includes 11 tasks across three assistants. The Work Assistant can organize meeting notes, generate presentation drafts, and compile industry news summaries. Zenni Claw’s Travel Assistant monitors flight prices, builds travel itineraries, and recommends local experiences beyond the typical tourist attractions. The Life Assistant, on the other hand, offers personalized morning briefings, dining recommendations, outdoor gear planning, and interest-based news digests.
Asus is also emphasizing privacy, which is a major concern for many users. Zenni Claw can intelligently switch between local AI models and cloud processing depending on the task and available hardware, helping reduce unnecessary cloud usage. The application also runs in a contained workspace that separates AI workflows from personal files and incorporates safeguards such as prompt-injection protection, sensitive-data filtering, and secure on-device API key storage.
The company states Zenni Claw will continue to evolve following its beta launch. Future updates are expected to introduce additional assistants focused on content creation and system management, while users will also be able to create custom skills and launch them directly via chat.
Zenni Claw is available now as a free download for supported Asus devices running Windows 11. Asus recommends at least 16GB of RAM and 20GB of available storage, although running local AI models requires significantly more powerful hardware, including 32GB of RAM and an Intel Core Ultra Series X or AMD Ryzen AI Max processor. Users without compatible hardware can still access the software in cloud-only mode.
While the app itself is free, some advanced cloud AI features may require users to provide their own supported AI model APIs or tokens, depending on the services they choose.
