Every MLS Game Is Free For Apple TV Subscribers As The Season Resumes July 16
Major League Soccer is officially back in action, starting tomorrow. Following a month long pause for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, regular season games will resume on Thursday, July 16. Fans across the globe can catch all the upcoming matches on Apple TV, completely free of local blackouts. This means every single game, from the regular season right through to the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, is available to stream in one place.
The recent break gave a record 45 MLS players the chance to represent their countries on the world’s biggest stage. Soccer legend Lionel Messi is returning to Inter Miami CF after an incredible run with Argentina that is still going today (the semi-final is at noon PT), where he has scored eight goals, leading the World Cup so far.
Canadian fans will also be excited to see national team hero Maxime Crépeau back in the net for Orlando City SC after helping Canada secure its first ever World Cup victory and a historic trip to the knockout stage.
The summer transfer window also brought some massive European talent across the ocean to shake up the league. French star Antoine Griezmann has signed with Orlando City SC, and global striker Robert Lewandowski just joined the Chicago Fire. Fans are already circling July 16 on their calendars, as Lewandowski will face his former Bayern Munich teammate Thomas Müller, who currently plays for the Vancouver Whitecaps, at Chicago’s Soldier Field. Other major rivalry games happening this week include the Seattle Sounders taking on the Portland Timbers, and a massive Los Angeles showdown between the Galaxy and LAFC.
Apple says fans can track their favourite teams using the free Apple Sports app for live scores and formations. Meanwhile, Thomas Müller is featured in a newly released audio episode of Time to Walk on Apple Fitness+, where he discusses the intense work required to navigate big career changes.
