The folks over at WABetaInfo have been able to enable the unreleased Dark Mode interface in Facebook for iOS ahead of the feature’s official rollout and it seems that unlike Instagram and Messenger, the Facebook app’s Dark Mode won’t be completely black (via 9to5Mac).

Looking at the screenshots above, the Dark Mode on Facebook app for iOS appears more of a grayscale design with white accents for logos and icons.
Users will be able to enable the interface by going to Settings and tapping Dark Mode. Once selected, users will have the option to choose when to enable it i.e. always on or based on your device settings.
“It’s true that some elements still have wrong colors, for example the black status bar in several sections, or the white background under the profile image. But, as you can see, Facebook has reached good results and almost everything in the app supports the Dark Mode.”
As of now, there’s no exact word on when Facebook plans to release the Dark Mode feature for iPhones and iPads to everyone.
