Simple And Thin Smartphone Coasters For iPhone, iPod touch

When you purchase an iOS device, one of the best accessories that you can purchase is some type of stand or dock. While many docks come with all kinds of features, the main point of the dock should be to keep your precious device off the table surface to prevent scratches.

With that in mind, NewPCGadgets introduces the Smartphone Coaster!

The Smartphone Coaster is a thin and very simple kickstand for your iPhone and iPod touch. However, the design of the stand also makes it ideal with many other types of media devices such as Blackberries, Android devices, and even regular photos!

The stand is made from a single piece of stainless steel with two rubber feet on either end of the stand to prevent sliding. The space-spacing design allows users to stack the Smartphone Coaster (if you have more than one),  which is where the “coaster” part of the name makes its debut.

As you can guess, the stand has numerous applications such as acting as a display holder, dock, or video/photo stand. The thin design also allows users to quickly reply to text messages, for example, as the angle of the stand is perfect for viewing and using mobile phones.

The only thing I do not like about the Smartphone Coaster is that the stainless steel material could scratch the back of your device, but with a case this would not be a concern. Once your device is rested on the stand, there is a chance of scratches. It is not likely, but because there is no padding or rubber stop, the chance is there.

If you are looking for a simple device dock, the Smartphone Coaster is a solid choice for under $5.00. But don’t expect any major features or capabilities, as you won’t find them here.

The Smartphone Coaster works on a wholesale system and is available at the following prices/amounts:

  • 1 – 20 units: $3.99 each
  • 21 – 100 units: $3.49 each
  • 101+ units: $2.99 each
  • Gift Pack (6 units): $22.99

I think if your iPhone 4 has a skin on the back, all you’d need is some electrical tape on the stand to keep from scratching the dock/mic area.

I ordered this item in Mid January 2011 (paid through PayPal)…It’s now November 2011 and I still have not received this item. I can accept a misunderstanding or a problem with shipping, but not responding to the issue is inexcusable. I have sent numerous email with papal receipt attached and have not had a single response. Buyer beware.
