CTV Olympics London 2012 App Downloaded Over 1.1 Million Times

Okay, now that the London 2012 Olympics are over…what is there to watch on TV?! Just prior to the launch of the Olympics, CTV launched their London 2012 iOS app (and RDS olympiques pour Loudres 2012). Now that the Games have ended, CTV has provided some stats on their online and TV coverage. Here’s the online and mobile info:

An additional 3.4 million hours of content was viewed at CTVOlympics.ca and RDSolympiques.ca, while more than 1.1 million CTV Olympics London 2012 and RDS olympiques pour Londres 2012 Apps were downloaded.

Over 1.1 million downloads of the CTV Olympics London 2012 apps…pretty impressive. The app actually was pretty awesome as the live coverage streamed quickly and in high quality, and looked even better on the iPad. Well done to CTV for their mobile app and online coverage as well.

As for the most watched event of the Games? That goes to the Athletics Men’s 100m Final, as 6.2 million people watched Usain Bolt once again show us how he is the ‘world’s greatest athlete’. Below is a full chart of the most viewed events:

Congrats to all the Canadian athletes that participated in London. How much time did you spend watching live Olympics on your iPhone or iPad?
