Kids Help Phone Releases ‘Always There’ App to Support Canadian Youth

KIDS HELP PHONE - Kids Help Phone launches "Always There" App

Kids Help Phone recently asked for ideas to include in their mobile app and the idea for a ‘Stress Buster app’ won. The idea has gone from its initial sketch stages to a finished app that allows youth to contact professionals for help over the phone or live chat, as announced earlier today:

The Kids Help Phone app provides a password protected space for you to log your feelings during the day, as well as youth-submitted inspirational quotes, tips on taking care of yourself, and jokes aimed at helping you cope with stress. The Info Booth has lots of information on emotional health topics and more. Finally, the app can also connect you directly with a Kids Help Phone counsellor over the phone, or during certain hours, Live Chat.

Financial assistance from Bell Let’s Talk, The Jack Project and from other Kids Help Phone donors helped the app come to life. This creative app looks like a good one for kids that need the support.
