Twitter has today updated its universal iOS app in the App Store, taking it to version 5.0 which introduces a completely revamped Twitter for iPad. The update brings new profiles with header photos as well as Photo streams integration with profiles and events in addition to bug fixes and minor improvements.
The official Twitter blog notes:
Today you can download the new Twitter for iPad. We’ve rebuilt the app from the ground up to make it fast, beautiful and easy to use. Twitter for iPad brings you closer to what’s happening all over the world, and makes it easy to keep up with the news you need to read, the photos you want to see and the people you follow.
The all new iPad app expands timeline Tweets with a single touch to reveal photos, videos and linked web pages. Another tap allows users to view the attached content in fullscreen mode. Users can also add a personalised header photo to their new profile, which appears consistently above users’ Tweets on iPad, mobile apps and twitter.com.
