You can turn off 3G through the iPhone 3G settings. Your iPhone will default to EDGE. But you mention that you don’t want a data plan, but still want to use EDGE??

Follow my tutorials…patience, patience, patience. Spray the film as you’re removing it and also lightly spray the iPhone. Line up the camera hole, then start from center and unravel the film…if it doesn’t go on properly the first time, remove and try again. Good luck! ;)

Like I mentioned in my post, the invisibleSHIELD is not for everybody. But as you can see from my pictures on this blog and comments from others, it has worked out fine if you can install it properly.

If introducing new iPhone accessories to readers (which I get email requests from YOU guys all the time to review product A or B) and giving away free prizes and discounts more than ANY other iPhone blog (or website out there PERIOD) out there on the internet is “lame”, I am sorry to hear that you are deleting us from your bookmarks. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out! Have a great day. :)

Wow… pretty harsh comment calling this site “lame”. I challenge anyone to start up an iPhone blog site and give readers one tenth of the content that this site is giving us on a continuous basis.

iPhoneinCanada.ca (along with only one other site) has brought me from knowing nothing about iPhones all the way to unlocking, jailbreaking (and selling) the first gen iPhones when they were “hot”, to jailbreaking my own iPhone 3G. I can now experience the freedom of custom home screens, video, and many amazing tweaks to the phone through Cydia and Installer. If that’s lame, then I guess I love lame!

This site (and the other one) are a DAILY routine for me. Sure, some days it’s not as exciting to read as others, but show me a site dedicated to the iPhone that is.
Peace out everyone! Have a fantastic weekend.

awfully a pain in the ass to install… even with patience theres still a high chance of a botched job. took over an hour for me to get the front side on…. the edge flaps take forever to stick… patience is really an understatement…. but in any case id give this an 8/10

A quick comment on the Zagg Invisible Shield. I have had it for 1 month on the white iPhone. The front is great. It does not scratch. But the back is just awful. It turned yellow, the corners keep coming up a little bit at a time, dirt sticks. It just is not sleek. On such a pretty device, you want some style. The concept was great because I have been carrying the phone without a case and wanted it to be great real bad. So really, the price is a little steep for just the front. If anyone has other comments please post.

here is my invisibleSHIELD nightmare :(

I installed mine this morning and everything was going fine until I noticed this tiny little lint in the middle of the screen. Because I am this kind of guy who just cant live with a not perfect install, I just had to remove it and try to get rid of this tiny lint, but here started the nightmare. Not only wasnt I able to remove it, but I added like tons of more of it. I ended up reinstalling the shield on the screen just to find out that I wasnt going to accept it. When dry, it was not that bad, but the fact that I can see some tiny dust when the backgroung is white just annoys me way too much. I just cant live with it.

So right now, the shield is removed and my iPhone is naked again. Too bad, because I really think that this shield could have been great, but I guess I wasnt lucky and this tiny dust just drove me crazy :(

I still have the shield but now it has a lot of dust so I guess its just ruined. Anyone knows if there is any way to clean it again and give it another shot or is it just good for the garbage now?

Anyway, maybe I’ll give this thing one more try and order another one sometime (or maybe win one here.. who knows!), but for now, my iPhone is all naked but shiny again!

I believe if you screw up the install and send it back they will send you a new one if you pay shipping costs. I think its about 4 bucks so probably worth the small incremental cost if you have already put 20 bucks into it.

How much does it cost to ship the defective product back to keep the lifetime warranty? I know it costs $4 to have it shipped to your doorstep, but it does not indicate how much it costs to ship back. Is it free? Is there a self-addressed/stamped envelope that I chuck the IS in?

Oh by the way, my front IS scratched.
