QuickPwn for Windows Updated for 2.0.2, WinPwn 2.5 Coming This Week

There has been an update to QuickPwn for Windows (Mac version coming soon) to support 2.0.2! In a nutshell, QuickPwn for Windows will allow you to jailbreak your iPhone without needing a restore. After the release of the GUI, this 2.0.2 update has been eagerly anticipated by many. This new release also supports 2.0.2, 2.0.1, and 2.0 firmwares.

Remember, QuickPwn is still in its beta stage so use the program at your own risk! As for my jailbroken iPhone 3G on 2.0.1, I am going to wait a few days to see what arises and go from there. My jailbroken iPhone still has some minor sluggish delays when switching from app to app. So looks like I need to update to 2.0.2 fairly soon…maybe I should try QuickPwn…hehe

On a side note, WinPwn 2.5 will be released this week. New features according to the WinPwn team include:

- QuickPwn support (2.0/2.0.1/2.0.2)
- DFU helper
- Automatic updater (yay no more downloading new installers)
- Plus much more…

Ok because I am new to the whole iPhone universe I have been hearing mixed thoughts about the 3G iPhone and jailbreaking it. It is true it isn’t a true unlock, but more of the ability to only add non iTunes Store apps?

So, you should be upgraded to the latest Apple firmware before jailbreaking?

I’m wondering if I should wait until Apple updates the phone again, since we are still dealing with the sluggish typing and application changing problem.
Also, if a new firmware un-jailbreaks my phone, what will happen to my custom software on it? Will jailbreaking it again after make everything work again without losing anything?

Currently firmware 2.02 you can easily jailbreak using quickpwn which will not tamper your iphone, it simply jailbreak the current firmware your phone is. simpily to say you can always change again even when winpwn 2.5 is out.

Quickpwn can be use for 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 firmware.
